We live in a society whereby titles correlate to importance, success and compensation. Yet, definitions of titles can vary greatly from organization to organization. A "Vice President" can have a completely different meaning in one company or industry versus another. Even so, many people get hung up on titles, mainly those whose egos are connected to them. Does a title feed your own a positive sense of self worth? Or, does the purpose of the role along your performance in it, provide you with a positive sense of self worth? What's important is to take off your title, and look at the authenticity of the person behind it.
